Innovations

The innovation I chose is social networking, something that has changed the way the world communicates with each other. Social network users is to reach almost 3 billion users by the year 2020. The industry is worth billions. Pros to social networking are communicating without being face to face, and anywhere in the world. Make new friends, get famous, education use and even make money. Cons are people can post bad pictures and statements about you, bullying can occur, and you can get hacked. Social networking has made a major impact in the way we communicate today.

The innovation my dad chose was a GPS, he said trying to go to new places without one is just too difficult. This innovation has changed the way people drive and travel. Before GPS's people had to find ways through maps and directions which was time consuming and very easy to get lost. But GPS fixed this problem. Pros are you never get lost, navigation is easy, and features which let you choose to avoid tolls and dirt roads. There are really no cons to GPS but you could argue signal loss, and reliability but they usually last pretty long.

The two innovations are different things they don't really have anything in common but there are apps out there that combine the two of these things like Waze. Which is a community based traffic and navigation app that gets users to tell where police and other obstacles are while combining the GPS feature. These two innovations are major and are a big part in people's lives.
